BMW has revealed the latest life cycle impulse (LCI) update for its high-performance M4 Competition M xDrive coupe, delivering significant upgrades in both power and design. This refreshed model joins the M4 Touring in the brand’s M-powered lineup, offering a 20 horsepower boost to reach an impressive 530 hp.
At the core of the M4 Competition lies a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder inline petrol engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine now produces 390 kW (530 hp) and 650 Nm of torque, directed to all four wheels through BMW’s intelligent M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. This powertrain enables the coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Additionally, the M Driver’s Package now comes standard, raising the top speed from 250 km/h to an exhilarating 290 km/h.
For enhanced braking performance, an optional M Carbon ceramic brake upgrade is available. The standard Adaptive M suspension provides outstanding handling precision, allowing drivers to fully harness the car’s dynamic capabilities.
Aesthetically, the M4 Competition features several striking updates, including a refreshed front fascia with Adaptive LED headlights and a rear laser taillight system borrowed from the lightweight M4 CSL. The coupe’s athletic stance is further emphasized by new 19- and 20-inch M forged wheels in a double-spoke M Silver design, available in Black and Bicolor black finishes. These wheels, paired with the standard M Carbon exterior package, enhance the coupe’s sporty yet elegant appeal.
Inside, the M4 Competition receives several updates, including a flat-bottom M steering wheel for a more race-inspired feel and the integration of BMW Operating System 8.5 for improved control and connectivity.
The latest iteration of the BMW M4 Competition M xDrive represents a significant leap forward in the model’s evolution, offering an exhilarating combination of performance, luxury, and cutting-edge technology. Alongside the M4, the updated BMW 4 Series convertible also made its debut, featuring subtle revisions in both design and infotainment systems.
As the new LCI M4 and 4 Series make their debut in Thailand, it’s only a matter of time before these exciting models arrive in the Philippines.
