For Fall/Winter 2025, Japanese designer Chitose Abe redefined femininity in fashion, infusing her sacai collection with sensitivity amid today’s turbulent political climate. Staying true to the female form, she presented a dynamic fusion of hybrid silhouettes that elevated the brand’s signature aesthetic.
Abe reimagined classic tailoring with innovative twists. Wool blazers featured integrated scarves, adaptable for movement or draping over the shoulder, while structured button-downs seamlessly merged into corset-adorned skirts. Ribbed hoodies paired effortlessly with straight-cut cargo pants, accentuated by reflective embellishments, while plush accessories transformed into voluminous, ruffled dresses, exuding confidence and charm.
Paying homage to the late American visual artist Man Ray, Abe incorporated his evocative photography onto textured and furry dresses. This season, she refined her signature oversized silhouettes, sculpting them to embrace the body’s natural shape. The collection radiated vibrancy through asymmetrical designs and bold bursts of color, celebrating the evolving spirit of modern femininity.
