After 25 years, Fendi has reintroduced its iconic Mamma Baguette bag, revitalizing the beloved accessory for the Spring/Summer 2025 runway. This updated version of the bag pays homage to the brand’s legacy while embracing modern elegance, walking alongside the Peekaboo in Fendi’s latest collection.
First launched in the late 1990s as a tribute to the house’s founder, Adele Casagrande Fendi, the Mamma Baguette was designed as a larger, more spacious counterpart to the original Baguette, which was conceived by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997. The revamped Mamma Baguette retains the signature rectangular shape, flap closure, shoulder strap, and the iconic FF logo buckle, yet introduces a softer, more luxurious feel with supple nappa leather and a tactile drawstring closure, infusing the bag with a contemporary femininity.
The updated Mamma Baguette comes in three practical sizes—Large, Medium, and Small—catering to different needs, with the Small offering a versatile option for daily essentials and crossbody wear. The collection’s color palette embraces timeless sophistication, including dove, black, white, pale pink, sage green, and matcha green, with select designs featuring seasonal floral embroideries on beaded and suede surfaces. A luxurious black python version stands out, showcasing Fendi’s mastery of high-quality materials.
This relaunch represents the seamless fusion of Fendi’s rich history and its forward-thinking approach to design, reaffirming the Mamma Baguette’s place as a fashion staple. With its blend of nostalgia and modern appeal, the bag is a perfect reflection of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, offering both style and functionality for today’s fashion-conscious women.
