Ferretti Yachts launched the first unit of its new Ferretti Yachts 940 model on January 15 at the company’s Cattolica shipyard, marking a significant addition to its luxury fleet. This widebody yacht is designed to offer a perfect blend of spaciousness and functionality, staying in Italian waters to reflect the importance of the domestic market to Ferretti Group.
Measuring 28.97 meters (95 ft 1 in) in length with a beam of 6.78 meters (22 ft 3 in), the Ferretti Yachts 940 features a five-cabin layout, including a full-beam master cabin located on the main deck. Its design incorporates large floor-to-ceiling windows, enhancing natural light and providing panoramic views.
Developed in collaboration with designer Filippo Salvetti for the exterior and Ideaeitalia for the interiors, the yacht’s main deck features a spacious salon of nearly 30 square meters, complete with a seating area, an eight-seat dining table, and sliding glass doors that provide access to outdoor spaces. The interior design reflects Ferretti Yachts’ Classic mood, with neutral tones and natural materials that emphasize elegance and comfort.
Outdoor areas include a cockpit with freestanding furniture and a glass parapet, a flybridge ideal for dining, and a forward section equipped with a sunpad, sofa, and table. The yacht also offers easy access between different zones, including the mooring area.
On the lower deck, the yacht accommodates three VIP cabins and one guest cabin with adjustable beds. The first unit is powered by two MAN V12 engines, each delivering 2000 mhp, achieving a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 21 knots (preliminary data).
The Ferretti Yachts 940 is designed to combine leisure and hosting functionalities, with thoughtful design elements to enhance both usability and comfort. As one of the leading builders of luxury yachts, Ferretti Group continues to set the standard in the industry, backed by a portfolio of renowned brands including Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, Custom Line, and Wally.
