Casio has officially released four new G-Shock models in the US, celebrating the iconic design of the original G-Shock watch. The new models – the DW5600RL-1, DW6900RL-1, GA110RL-1S, and GA2100RL-1A – offer a mix of features tailored to different needs, following the success of the DW5000R-1A, which sold out rapidly after its December release.
The DW5600RL-1 mirrors the classic rectangular design of the DW-5000R, featuring resin casing and a watch band. This digital model boasts a five-year battery life on a CR2016 battery and includes a white Super Illuminator LED backlight, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, and a multifunctional alarm. The DW6900RL-1 shares the same features but features a round face instead of the rectangular design.
The GA110RL-1S stands out as a hybrid analog-digital model, offering magnetic resistance and world time across 48 cities. It has a battery life of two years, an amber LED backlight, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, and a precise 1/1000-second stopwatch. The GA2100RL-1A, another hybrid model, features a Carbon Core Guard structure and Neobrite glow-in-the-dark elements, with a three-year battery life and a double LED backlight. It also includes a countdown timer, a 1/100-second stopwatch, and support for up to five alarms.
All four models are shock-resistant, water-resistant to 200 meters, and feature a fully automatic calendar to 2099, maintaining accuracy within 15 seconds per month. The DW5600RL-1, DW6900RL-1, and GA110RL-1S are priced at $99 each, while the GA2100RL-1A is available for $130. These models are also available for purchase in select European countries, including the UK.
