mWell, the Philippines’ leading health and wellness mega app, has taken school pride to new heights with the launch of special edition UAAP watches, designed to combine school spirit with health tracking. These affordable wearables allow students to show off their school colors while staying on top of their fitness goals.
As part of its support for the 87th season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), mWell unveiled these unique watches in a special signing ceremony at Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC)’s boardroom. Each watch is designed with school logos and color-matching straps, capturing the athletic energy and pride of the universities.
mWell Chairman and MPIC CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan emphasized the collaboration’s focus on youth wellness. “This partnership with the UAAP is rooted in our shared commitment to the well-being of young people,” Pangilinan said. “These special edition watches, linked to the mWell platform, will help students, athletes, and the broader UAAP community manage their health and achieve peak performance.”
The new Power and Prestige Sport watches come equipped with essential health tracking features, including blood pressure and heart rate monitoring. With 100 sports modes, they are ideal for tracking physical activities. When paired with the mWell app, each watch tracks the user’s daily mWellness Score—based on exercise, activity level, sedentary time, and steps taken—encouraging a holistic approach to fitness that helps reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
Chaye Cabal-Revilla, mWell’s CEO and President, explained that the wearables are designed to support a healthier and more active lifestyle. “Health is the most important personal investment,” she said. “These affordable watches, paired with the mWell app, help students and alumni manage their health, increase productivity, and lead longer, happier lives.”
UAAP Executive Director Atty. Rebo Saguisag shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that it aligns with the UAAP’s theme of “Stronger, Better, Together.” “Together with mWell, we are promoting wellness and encouraging healthier lifestyles to build a more united and formidable community,” Saguisag stated.
The UAAP Special Edition Watches by mWell represent eight of Metro Manila’s top universities—University of the Philippines (UP), Adamson University (AdU), Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), De La Salle University (DLSU), Far Eastern University (FEU), National University (NU), University of the East (UE), and University of Santo Tomas (UST). Each watch boasts up to seven days of battery life and is water-resistant, making it an ideal companion for both athletic and everyday activities.
