Casio’s popular G-Shock Shiba Inu-themed watches, which debuted in Japan in September, are rumored to be launching in the United States this November. The collection is part of a broader celebration of Japanese culture, following recent releases such as the Manga, Ninja, and Nishikigoi Koi Series wearables.
The Shiba Inu line includes three distinct models: the GA-100SHB-5A, DW-5600SHB-1, and DW-6900SHB-7. The GA-100SHB-5A, inspired by the sesame Aka-Shiba, features a brown and off-white color scheme with a miniature Shiba Inu on the inset dial. It supports 29 time zones, includes an LED backlight, and offers a 1/1000-second stopwatch, five daily alarms, and more.
The DW-5600SHB-1 draws inspiration from the black Kuro-Shiba, featuring an off-white underside, while the DW-6900SHB-7 is based on the white Shiro-Shiba. Both models showcase a small Shiba Inu silhouette on the dial, and the backlight reveals the dog’s face. Other features include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, and flash alerts. The DW-6900SHB-7 also boasts a Triple Graph next to the LCD screen.
According to G-Central, an unnamed source has confirmed that these watches will soon be available in the U.S., with the GA-100SHB-5A expected to retail for approximately $140 and the DW-5600SHB-1 and DW-6900SHB-7 around $130. The models are already listed on Casio’s global website, suggesting a wider international release.
