Porsche is set to enhance the 2025 911 Carrera T with several refinements aimed at preserving its purity. For this model year, the Carrera T will exclusively feature a six-speed manual transmission and, for the first time, will be available as a convertible.
The six-speed gearbox retains the first six ratios from the 992.1-generation seven-speed manual, seamlessly connecting the rear wheels to the classic twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine that powers the standard Carrera. Previously, the Carrera T was offered with both a seven-speed manual and an eight-speed PDK transmission.
The updated engine now delivers 388 horsepower—an increase from the previous 379—while maintaining the same torque of 331 pound-feet. This power allows the coupe to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, while the Cabriolet version takes slightly longer at 4.5 seconds. Additionally, the convertible’s top speed is capped at 182 mph, just shy of the coupe’s 183 mph.
To enhance braking performance, Porsche has upgraded the T with 13.8-inch front and rear discs featuring six-piston fixed calipers, replacing the previous model’s four-piston setup. The 2025 Carrera T also includes standard rear-axle steering, revised anti-roll bars, and Porsche Torque Vectoring. It rolls on staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, and Porsche Active Suspension Management returns as a standard feature.
With a weight of just 3,316 pounds, the 2025 Carrera T coupe is the lightest variant in the 911 Carrera lineup. Weight savings are achieved through the use of a six-speed manual, lightweight glass, and reduced sound insulation. For those seeking further weight reduction, optional carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic bucket seats are available.
Visually, the Carrera T stands out with Vanadium Grey Metallic accents on the sideview mirror caps, wheels, and badges. It features black stainless steel Sport Exhaust tailpipes, a GTS front spoiler, and unique stickers on the rear side windows, complemented by an optional exterior package that adds Gentian Blue accents.
Inside, the standard interior showcases Vanadium Grey, highlighted by a walnut ball handle for the shifter. An interior package introduces Gentian Blue accents, replacing black stitching, seat belts, and dashboard inserts, enhancing the overall aesthetic of this performance-focused model.
