Bombardier has announced the start of manufacturing major structural components for its first production Global 8000 jet at facilities in Saint-Laurent (Québec), Red Oak (Texas), and Querétaro (Mexico). Set to enter service in the second half of 2025, the Global 8000 will be the world’s fastest and longest-range purpose-built business jet, designed for optimal ride comfort and the healthiest cabin environment. The aircraft continues to demonstrate strong performance in flight testing.
David Murray, Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, emphasized the expertise and innovation driving Bombardier’s progress. “Our engineering and production teams are showcasing unmatched levels of mastery that reflect Bombardier’s culture of excellence,” he stated.
Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President of Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Defense, highlighted the aircraft’s impressive capabilities. With a range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94, the Global 8000 will connect more city pairs than ever, including Dubai-Houston and Singapore-Los Angeles. It will also offer a spacious cabin with four living areas and a separate crew rest space.
Passengers can expect an exceptional in-flight experience, featuring luxurious amenities and advanced technologies introduced on the Global 7500, including a Principal Suite with a full-size bed and a stand-up shower. Additionally, the cabin will boast superior connectivity and entertainment options.
For current Global 7500 owners, Bombardier is offering an upgrade that enhances speed, range, and cabin altitude, preparing clients for the Global 8000’s anticipated entry into service.
