Casio has announced the upcoming release of two new G-Shock GA-B2100CD watches as part of its ongoing collaboration with the Charles Darwin Foundation. These limited-edition timepieces aim to support conservation efforts in the Galápagos Islands and are inspired by the region’s iconic marine iguana and Galápagos penguin.
The two models, GA-B2100CD-1A4 and GA-B2100CD-1A7, showcase distinct color schemes. The GA-B2100CD-1A4 features a striking black and red design that evokes the marine iguana, while the GA-B2100CD-1A7 sports a black and white palette reminiscent of the Galápagos penguin. Both models are based on the GA-B2100 framework and come equipped with modern features, including Tough Solar power, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, and a Carbon Core Guard case.
In keeping with the environmental focus of the collection, each watch is constructed from renewable bio-based resin. The design includes several unique details, such as an animal-shaped subdial indicator, a silhouette of the Galápagos Islands on the band keeper, and a conservation support declaration printed on the strap. The Charles Darwin Foundation logo is also engraved on the stainless steel case back. Furthermore, the packaging is plastic-free, reinforcing the eco-friendly initiative.
The GA-B2100CD-1A4 and GA-B2100CD-1A7 are set to be released worldwide in November 2024.
