Dior captivated audiences at Paris Fashion Week with a unique runway featuring a live archery performance by Italian artist Sofia Ginevra Giannì, known as SAGG Napoli. Under a transparent corridor adorned with quotes from various Italian artists, Napoli showcased her skills, firing arrows at a bullseye while dressed in a striking Dior ensemble of gladiator-inspired skirt and leather boots.
Front-row celebrity Jennifer Garner was seen recording the spectacle, which drew comparisons to “The Hunger Games.” The event, a highlight of creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s sporty spring/summer 2025 collection, celebrated the harmonization of body and mind through archery, an homage to the athleticism embedded in Christian Dior’s legacy.
Chiuri revealed her inspiration from iconic figures like Wonder Woman and Diana of Versailles, emphasizing a shift in Dior’s design philosophy toward comfort and wearability. The collection featured diverse pieces, including tracksuits, leotards, and sneaker-boot hybrids, while reviving the Dior Sport logo from the 1960s. As fashion evolves alongside sports, Chiuri remarked, “The rise of sport has changed the whole body language of women, and therefore of fashion.”
