Kenya-based skincare brand Uncover has successfully completed an oversubscribed Seed II funding round, raising $1.4 million.
The round was led by EQ2 Ventures and IgniteXL Ventures, with contributions from Chui Ventures, Samata Capital, and Altree Capital. The new funding will enable Uncover to enhance its tech platform, introduce new products, and expand into emerging markets, including the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Both EQ2 Ventures and IgniteXL Ventures praised Uncover’s data-driven strategy and its commitment to serving women of color, a demographic often overlooked by the beauty industry.
