As part of its Italian Immersion Wine Program, Calabria Family Wine Group recently rewarded five trade customers with an exclusive trip to Northern Italy, allowing them to explore the region’s renowned wines and learn about Calabria’s Italian brand portfolio.
Earlier this month, a diverse group of retail and on-premise customers embarked on a six-day wine immersion experience alongside Calabria’s esteemed international partners, Fontanafredda and Canti Prosecco.
Rooted in its Italian heritage, the program began in Barolo, where participants visited the region’s picturesque vineyards and underground cellars, sampling back vintage Barolo and Prosecco. Highlights included a tour of the cathedral-like Magnificat cellar, where Canti’s wines are aged in Durmast barrels prior to their release, as well as an exploration of the winemaking facilities.
Reflecting on the experience, Calabria Family Wine Group stated, “We are committed to creating unforgettable experiences and opportunities for our partners. Make Calabria Family Wine Group your preferred wine partner to enjoy more amazing opportunities like this.”
Calabria Family Wine Group oversees the Australian distribution of notable Italian brands, including Canti, Fontanafredda, and Librandi, as well as offerings from Portugal’s Dow’s, Argentina’s Dona Paula, France’s Champagne Deutz, and Provence Rosé’s Hecht & Bannier.
Recent additions to Calabria’s portfolio include Ponting Wines, developed by Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting and winemaker Ben Riggs, with whom Calabria secured a distribution agreement earlier this month, along with New Zealand brand Whitehaven.
