In honor of London Fashion Week‘s 40th anniversary, eBay staged a pre-loved fashion show curated by the brand’s Pre-Loved Style Director, Amy Bannerman. The runway featured iconic pieces from renowned designers such as Simone Rocha, Martine Rose, and Alexander McQueen, underscoring the significance of secondhand fashion and encouraging this season’s attendees to explore sustainable shopping options.
The show highlighted archival items that have defined four decades of London Fashion Week, including Mulberry’s Bayswater handbag, Wales Bonner’s adidas collaboration, and the coveted Chopova Lowena skirt. All pieces were immediately available for purchase on eBay, with prices ranging from £24 to £1,000.
Amy Bannerman expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Pre-loved fashion is now taking the front row. Curating this show for eBay has been a full-circle moment, allowing me to channel eBay’s spirit of treasure-hunting with 40 years of London’s fashion history. I hope that through Endless Runway and our curated selection, people will experience the same joy eBay has brought me for twenty-three years, and see fashion’s power to endure, reinvent, and surprise.”
Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council, also praised the collaboration, remarking, “We are thrilled to partner with eBay for their Endless Runway this London Fashion Week. By making these items accessible on the marketplace, eBay allows a broader audience to explore and appreciate the rich legacy of London Fashion Week over the past 40 years, demonstrating that authentic designer fashion can be accessible to everyone.”
