Apple is reportedly planning to unveil its latest devices, including the iPhone 16 series, new Apple Watch models, and updated AirPods, at an event scheduled for September 10. The new products are expected to hit the market on September 20, following the event.
In addition to the hardware, Apple is anticipated to release new software updates, such as iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, a few days before the official launch of the devices.
Although Apple has not officially confirmed the event date, Gurman cites an insider as the source of the information. Previous reports of a leaked event flyer were debunked, but the company is expected to send out official media invitations next week.
The upcoming iPhone 16 series is expected to feature the A18 chip with integrated Apple Intelligence, running on the latest iOS 18. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will sport slightly larger displays and introduce a new side-mounted Capture button for photography. The standard iPhone 16 models will include the Action Button, while the Pro variants will feature an upgraded 48 MP ultrawide camera sensor.
Apple is also likely to introduce new Apple Watch models, including the Series 10, a new Apple Watch SE, and an updated Apple Watch Ultra. The “standard” Apple Watch will undergo design changes, featuring a thinner profile and a larger display. Additionally, the AirPods 4 will debut in two versions: a lower-end model similar to the current AirPods and a higher-end version with Active Noise Cancellation.
