Audi has introduced the facelifted version of its flagship Q8 SUV in India, marking its first significant update since the model’s debut in 2020. Priced at Rs 1.17 crore (ex-showroom, pan-India), the new Q8 is Rs 10 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model.
The midlife update brings subtle yet meaningful design changes to the Q8. The front of the SUV features a refreshed octagonal grille with new apertures, revised air intakes on the bumper, and upgraded headlights. The most notable enhancement is the inclusion of HD Matrix LED headlights with a high-power laser diode for the high beam, which automatically activates at speeds above 70 kmph. Additionally, the LED daytime running lights (DRLs) now come with four customizable light signatures.
At the rear, the Q8 sports connected LED tail lamps with OLED technology, offering customizable lighting options. A revised bumper and safety-enhancing tail lights that activate when a vehicle approaches within 2 meters complete the exterior updates. The Q8 is available in eight exterior colors, including Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, and Mythos Black.
Inside, the facelifted Q8 remains largely unchanged, with updates limited to new seat upholstery stitching, dashboard trim inserts, and refreshed interior color schemes. The SUV retains its advanced features, including three digital screens—a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch driver’s display, and a climate control display—as well as a head-up display, four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats with a massage function, and a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
On the safety front, the new Q8 is equipped with multiple airbags, front and rear parking sensors with a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and park assist.
Under the hood, the 2024 Audi Q8 continues to be powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 engine, delivering 340 PS and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The powertrain includes an 8-speed automatic transmission that channels power to all four wheels (AWD). The Q8 accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph.
