Copenhagen Fashion Week continues to solidify its status as a must-see event, filled with innovation and exciting new launches. ECCO made a major impact for AW24, with its Sculpted products taking centre stage at Nicklas Skovgaard’s presentation and its bags and belts making an appearance at Sinéad O’Dwyer’s. ECCO further engaged the audience through various panels and events.
A highlight for ECCO was the launch of its AW24 collection in partnership with Italian design agency RAL7000STUDIO. The collaboration was celebrated with a dinner hosted by renowned Copenhagen chef Frederik Bille Brahe at the ECCO brand studio. The limited edition capsule, the second collaboration between ECCO and RAL7000STUDIO, blends playful, comfortable styles that reflect the unique identities of both brands.
Following the success of the first collaboration, the new collection continues to merge ECCO’s Danish design heritage with RAL7000STUDIO’s Milanese urban aesthetic. With exaggerated volumes, reflective leathers and ultra-soft materials, the collection embraces the innovative spirit of both brands. RAL7000STUDIO co-founders Michael Cutini and Marco Simonetti launched the collection with ECCO at Fashion Week and participated in a panel discussion on keeping the brand innovative in collaborations – a theme clearly reflected in their latest designs.
Cutini describes the collection as “a fusion of skate shoes and combat boots, a blend of country and city,” blending different styles into one cohesive look. The collection includes the slip-on COZMO SANDAL, a comfortable streetwear-inspired option; the STREET ACE BOOT AND SHOE, designed for men and women, blending comfort with style; and the OFFROAD BOOT, a modern and stylish hiking boot with a thick sole and graphic padding that reflects RAL7000STUDIO’s signature style.
The COZMO SANDAL and STREET ACE SNEAKER will be available online in Canada and exclusively at ECCO’s Yorkdale store starting August 16, with the OFFROAD BOOT set to release later this fall.
