Benoit Verhulle, the 13th head of workshop at Chaumet, a renowned French luxury jewellery house, oversees a team of 26 in crafting exquisite pieces. Chaumet is behind the unique medals awarded to athletes at the Paris Olympics.
“The Olympic medals reflect Paris’s essence; they incorporate pieces of iron from the Eiffel Tower, embedded in the center of these decorations and shaped into a hexagon symbolizing France,” Verhulle explained to RFI.
These distinctive medals, designed by Chaumet and set like precious stones, were produced by La Monnaie de Paris.
