Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has introduced a new alcohol-free perfume designed specifically for dogs, named “Fefe.” The fragrance features notes of ylang ylang and musk and is presented in a luxurious gold-plated bottle.
Business of Fashion reports that the launch is supported by a campaign featuring model dogs. However, the move has drawn criticism from animal protection charities, which caution against masking a dog’s natural scent.
Diana Rosero-Pena, an analyst at Bloomberg, commented to Business of Fashion, “We are witnessing a significant increase in consumer spending on pets, a trend we anticipate will continue through 2030.”
