Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan officially inaugurated the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS – 2024) Premiere on Thursday, August 8. The five-day event, organized by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, is being held at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai.
The IIJS is recognized as the second-largest Business-to-Business jewellery fair globally. During the opening ceremony, Governor Radhakrishnan unveiled the Pocket Guide to IIJS 2024.
Key figures at the event included Minister of Skills and Employment Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council Chairman Vipul Shah, Vice Chairman Kirit Bhansali, event Brand Ambassador Manushi Chhillar, De Beers Group Executive Vice President Paul Rowley, Convenor Nirav Bhansali, and Joyalukkas Group Managing Director Paul Alukkas. The gathering also attracted clients, retailers, exporters, and exhibitors from around the world.
The IIJS – 2024 features a wide array of jewellery, including diamond, gold, platinum, and silver pieces, as well as loose natural diamonds, gemstones, and lab-grown diamonds. The show is expected to draw over 50,000 trade visitors and exporters from 60 countries over its five-day run.
