Over the next two years, BMW Group Classic will certify more than 20 Swiss retailers, including BMW, BMW Motorrad and MINI, as official partners of BMW Group Classic. The expansion, which will be completed by 2025, is aimed at strengthening the care and restoration of classic cars across Switzerland.
To be certified, retailers must demonstrate expertise in the management of vintage BMW, BMW Motorrad and MINI vehicles and have the specialist tools required to care for both vintage and current classic models. Adequate training of staff is also required, for which BMW Group Classic offers a training programme.
BMW Group Classic partners will offer a range of services that have traditionally been provided at BMW’s headquarters in Munich, now extended locally. This support includes technical assistance, sourcing replacement parts, remanufacturing specialist tools and access to data in the BMW Group archives.
Since the certification process began in 2019, the number of international BMW Group Classic partners has reached 148. This move underscores BMW Group Classic’s commitment to protecting its tradition while shaping the future.
To celebrate the new certification, BMW Group Classic will host a major event at the BMW Group Brand Experience Center in Dielsdorf on August 10, 2024. The event will showcase iconic BMW cars and the latest models, offering attendees the opportunity to interact with BMW Group Classic and its newly certified local partners.
