The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode has unveiled its preliminary calendar for the Spring/Summer 2025 edition of Paris Fashion Week, set to feature 70 runway shows and 38 presentations. The event will commence with Weinsanto on September 23 and conclude with Louis Vuitton on October 1.
One of the most highly anticipated events of the week is Alessandro Michele’s debut runway show at Valentino. Michele, who joined Valentino in March, surprised fashion enthusiasts with a resort collection during Milan Men’s Fashion Week in June. Chanel will present its first ready-to-wear collection since Virginie Viard’s departure in June, and Dries Van Noten will showcase a collection for the first time without its namesake designer. Both of these collections will be created by the respective houses’ design studios.
Notably absent from the schedule are Maison Margiela and Givenchy, which has yet to appoint a new creative director following Matthew Williams’ departure in December. Off-White, under the creative direction of Ib Kamara, will instead showcase its collection in New York.
Gabriela Hearst, based in New York, will return to Paris Fashion Week for the first time since Spring 2021 with her eponymous label. Ludovic de Saint Sernin will also return to Paris after showing in New York last season. Y/Project is back on the schedule after canceling its Autumn/Winter 2024 show in March. Additionally, Seán McGirr and Chemena Kamali will present their second collections for McQueen and Chloé, respectively.
New additions to the schedule include LVMH Prize finalist Niccoló Pasqualetti and designer Alainpaul.
In an off-calendar event, Coperni, known for its viral fashion shows, will present at Disneyland Paris on October 1, following the Louis Vuitton show.
