Bentley has unveiled a glimpse of its next-generation 2025 Flying Spur, confirming it will be equipped with the cutting-edge ‘Ultra Performance Hybrid’ V8 powertrain recently introduced in the Continental GT Speed.
The upcoming fourth-generation Flying Spur sedan will boast an advanced electrified twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine, delivering an impressive combined output of 575kW and 1000Nm of torque. It will be paired with a 25.9kWh battery pack, providing an all-electric range of 72km and a total driving range exceeding 800km, comparable to its predecessor, the V6 plug-in hybrid Flying Spur.
With a projected 0-100km/h acceleration time of approximately 3.5 seconds, the new Flying Spur is set to offer exceptional performance for a vehicle of its size, measuring around 5.4 meters in length.
The teaser image reveals that the Mk4 Flying Spur will retain its current model’s double-headlight design rather than adopting the Continental GT’s new oval-shaped headlights. It will feature a larger, more upright honeycomb grille, redesigned side air intakes, and a prominent ‘Flying B’ bonnet emblem.
Bentley promises that despite its supercar-like performance, the Flying Spur will deliver “silent, effortless luxury.” The integrated electric motor is designed to enhance acceleration at both low speeds and during mid-range overtaking maneuvers.
Notably, Bentley has focused on perfecting the new Flying Spur’s exhaust note, emphasizing its deep engine sound without artificial enhancements. This tuning, reminiscent of American muscle cars, highlights its distinctive cross-plane crank design.
While Bentley has yet to announce the official unveiling date, the world debut of the new Flying Spur is anticipated to occur soon.
