Aurea Holding is reportedly on the brink of becoming the new owner of The Body Shop, the UK-based ethical beauty chain. The investment firm is said to be in exclusive negotiations to acquire the company from Aurelius, following a successful bid in the auction process.
According to The Business of Fashion, the prospective new owners plan to retain all 100 UK stores in The Body Shop’s network. This move suggests a commitment to maintaining the brand’s physical presence in the market.
Despite reaching out, both Aurea Holding and administrator FRP Advisory declined to comment on the potential acquisition. The consortium, which includes notable figures such as beauty industry veteran Mike Jatania and former Molton Brown CEO Charles Denton, is believed to see potential in revitalizing The Body Shop’s ethical beauty brand.
