After the successful run of Hahn SuperDry low-carb beers, Lion has introduced Hahn Ultra Zero Carb, marking the brand’s entry into the zero-carb beer market. The national launch campaign features AFL legend Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, aiming to attract consumers seeking healthier beer alternatives.
Hahn Ultra Zero Carb caters to the growing number of people moderating their alcohol intake and looking for healthier options. With less than 0.5g of carbs per bottle and only 87 calories, this beer promises the full flavor of traditional beers while being an easy-drinking option with a crisp taste and low bitterness. Lion expects it to be one of its most significant launches this year.
Sammy Russo, Hahn Marketing Manager at Lion Australia, highlighted the importance of this launch. “This is our first beer in Lion’s new Ultra Category, which will feature a range of zero-carb beers. We’re excited to introduce a zero-carb option within Hahn’s low-carb portfolio.”
Russo praised the partnership with Buddy Franklin, noting, “As a brand that resonates with social sport enthusiasts, teaming up with one of Australia’s best kickers brings this product to life. Buddy Franklin will figuratively and literally ‘kick carbs, not beer’ with Hahn Ultra Zero Carb.”
Hahn’s recent achievements include being the highest-placed beer on the Hottest Brands List for 2024 and contributing $56 million to Australia’s liquor sector growth in 2023. Russo anticipates continued success with the launch of Hahn Ultra Zero Carb, catering to health-conscious consumers.
Buddy Franklin, the face of the campaign, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. “It’s been great to work with Hahn again, this time to kick carbs out of the picture. Creating a delicious beer with zero carbs is a win for everyone.”
Hahn Ultra Zero Carb is now available in 330ml bottles at liquor retailers nationwide.
