For the first time since her delivery in Livorno, Italy, in 2021, the 65-meter yacht Zazou, the 21st-largest Benetti yacht, has entered the charter market with Y.CO. This new phase is marked by a comprehensive interior makeover, recently unveiled. Zazou features an exterior design by Giorgio M. Cassetta of Cassetta Yacht Designers and naval architecture by her Viareggio-based shipbuilder. The sophisticated interior, however, was crafted by Dutch studio Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
Elegance and serenity are the hallmarks of Zazou’s design, harmoniously blending luxurious amenities with a light, soothing color palette that contrasts beautifully with the deep Carinthia blue hull. Vibrant colors, varied textures, exotic marbles, and light woods enhance the unique atmospheres of the different spaces while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.
The main saloon exemplifies Sinot’s design philosophy, combining subdued tones, luxurious materials, and sky-blue accents. Guests enter through double sliding glass doors, greeted by a marble and stone bar with white, grey, and jet-black lines echoed in the design of a round table. A bold Basquiat-esque painting adds splashes of color, complemented by recessed lamps and sconces that enhance the natural sunlight from large windows.
Beyond the reception area, the main lounge features an imposing coffee table matching the bar counter. A grey and white L-shaped sofa, a large ottoman, and two black and white chairs encircle the table, facing a plasma screen on a light wood panel partition. Neutral tones are brightened by sky-blue accents in the cushions, reflecting the ocean’s deeper blue. White orchids and elegant glassware complete the décor.
The dining room, seating up to ten, is highlighted by a striking chandelier of frosted glass geometric elements. The soft lighting and rounded edges of the white table and plush chairs create a chic yet cozy atmosphere, perfect for fine dining curated by Zazou’s star chef and foodie captain.
The upper saloon echoes this clean aesthetic with white and grey marble tables, white coral centerpieces, understated furniture, and cool-toned wood, drawing attention to the rich ocean views through the windows.
The lower saloon, leading to the beach club, adopts a more playful theme. Golden lighting, a pale-orange Matisse print, and lemon throw cushions add warmth, while a textured rug and light wood chairs evoke a beachy feel, tying in with the yacht’s sleek interior through a marble bar.
Zazou’s five spacious staterooms, accommodating up to ten guests, each offer a tranquil retreat. The principal stateroom features a private lounge, spacious closets, and a luxurious marble ensuite with silver accents. Pure white walls and furniture are accented with dark lines and touches of blue. The room’s unique feature is a secluded balcony accessible without crew intervention.
Three double staterooms feature blue or yellow accents and geometric patterns, with cozy writing nooks. The twin cabin on the lower deck has an ensuite bathroom and youthful decor with bursts of orange, making it ideal for siblings or friends.
Accommodating a crew of 16, including the captain, Zazou is perfect for families or groups seeking comfort and style. The yacht boasts numerous luxurious amenities and entertainment options. Guests can relax in a serene treatment room, equipped with a dedicated masseuse, rich reddish-brown woods, candles, bamboo orchids, and Buddha statuettes for a Southeast Asian-inspired ambiance. The fully equipped gym includes cardio and cable machines, dumbbells, and a multifunctional squat rack, with space for yoga and bodyweight workouts. A personal trainer and yoga instructor are also available for private sessions.
Zazou’s expansive decks offer wellness, leisure, and alfresco dining options. Adjustable awnings provide shade, while the bow helipad doubles as a yoga spot with spectacular ocean views. The forward deck’s minimalist seating and sun pads offer quiet spaces for reading or tanning. The sun deck features a spa pool for cooling off, while an aft dining area can convert into an outdoor cinema. The upper deck’s sheltered dining area, bordered by white linen couches, is ideal for socializing, and the main aft deck has been transformed into a stylish patio.
The 25-square-meter lower deck beach club includes woven chairs and white linen cushions, providing a comfortable sunbathing spot. Guests can swim from the stern platform or enjoy the waves from a portside platform. A dining table can also be set up on the port side.
Zazou is equipped with various water toys, including Seabobs, e-foil boards, e-scooters, wakeboards, paddleboards, kayaks, inflatables, golf clubs with biodegradable balls, a slide, trampoline, and fishing gear, with availability subject to change according to Y.CO.
With her luxurious lounges, outdoor decks, and extensive features, Zazou is built for relaxation, wellness, and leisure, making her ideal for families and versatile enough for various groups. Powered by two Caterpillar Inc. engines, Zazou has a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 16 knots.
This summer, Zazou will be available for charter in the Western Mediterranean, including destinations like the South of France and Corsica. Charter rates start from €645,000 per week in the low season and from €690,000 per week in the high season.
