The road to the 2025 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup (PESC) kicks off on Saturday, July 13, 2024, with the commencement of the Qualifying Series. Sim racers worldwide holding a valid licence from the iRacing platform are eligible to participate in this prestigious competition. The top 15 drivers from this series will advance to the Contender Series, vying for a coveted spot in the upcoming season of the PESC, known as one of the premier online racing championships globally, commencing in February 2025.
The Qualifying Series begins with two stages, starting with the initial phase open to all sim racers possessing a Class B4 licence or higher in iRacing. Across six race days scheduled on consecutive Saturdays, competitors will compete in the digital Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Each race day features a structured program comprising a three-minute practice session, a two-lap qualifying session, and an 80-kilometer race. The cumulative results of their best five performances will determine their final ranking.
Following the Qualifying Series, the top 15 finishers will progress to the Contender Series, held from September 21 to October 26, 2024. This series will see them compete against the top 15 sim racers from the 2024 PESC standings who placed between 16th and 30th. Mirroring the PESC format, each round of the Contender Series will include an 18-minute practice session, an eight-minute qualifying session, and two sprint races lasting approximately 15 minutes each.
For the 2025 PESC season, the top 15 performers from the Contender Series will join the 15 automatic qualifiers from the 2024 championship standings. Additionally, wildcard entries from national Porsche Esports championships will complete the grid of up to 35 participants.
