The Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation (WWGF) has announced the addition of Chanel, Hermès, and LVMH to its board, marking a significant expansion of its governance.
Founded in 2022 to replace Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), the watch fair has been organized by Rolex, Richemont, and Patek Philippe. With the inclusion of Chanel, Hermès, and LVMH, renowned participants in past events, the upcoming editions are poised for increased scale and influence.
Jean-Frédéric Dufour, CEO of Rolex, has chaired the board since its inception. Effective July 1, 2024, Cyrille Vigneron, President and CEO of Cartier, will assume the role of chairman, while Dufour transitions to the role of treasurer.
In an official statement, WWGF underlined its commitment to defining strategic and developmental priorities under Vigneron’s leadership. The 2024 Geneva edition hosted 54 leading watchmaking brands and attracted 49,000 visitors, underscoring its global stature.
The dates for the 2025 Geneva edition of Watches and Wonders have been confirmed for April 1-7, ensuring continuity and anticipation within the watchmaking community.
