Following the success of the inaugural Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards held in Macao, Wynn Resorts is extending its efforts to spotlight China’s top wines on an international stage. This year, Wynn Resorts plans to host a series of prestigious events in Singapore, London, and Las Vegas, featuring tastings, Masterclasses, and exclusive dinners.
The global wine journey commenced in May with exclusive tastings at Singapore’s renowned private members’ wine club, 67 Pall Mall. In June, during the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards at Wynn Las Vegas, three acclaimed chefs from Wynn Macao—Tam Kwok Fung, André Chiang, and Zhang Zhi Cheng—presented an exceptional wine dinner, harmonizing Chinese culinary delights with premier Chinese wines. Looking ahead to October, Wynn Resorts will partner with 67 Pall Mall in London for a special Chinese National Day event, featuring tastings and Masterclasses.
Ms. Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman of the Board, and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, underscored the significance of these events: “Following the successful launch of the Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards, we are thrilled to host these captivating global wine events. Our goal is to enhance the global reputation of Chinese wineries and stimulate international demand for Chinese wines.”
The Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards, held at Wynn Palace in April, gathered wine experts to celebrate China’s burgeoning winemaking industry. With over 700 wines from 200 wineries judged by a panel including seven Masters of Wine, the awards highlighted the quality and diversity of Chinese wines. Through a rigorous 100-point scoring system and blind tastings, 23 exceptional wines were identified, setting new benchmarks on a global scale.
Recognizing the profound impact of these awards, Wynn Resorts Macau aims to elevate exceptional Chinese wines on the world stage, reinforcing Macao’s designation as a UNESCO “Creative City of Gastronomy.” These initiatives align with Wynn’s steadfast commitment to hospitality excellence and culinary innovation, bolstering Macao’s reputation as a premier destination for tourism and gastronomy.
