With less than 40 days remaining until the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, OMEGA has launched a new timepiece inspired by Armand “Mondo” Duplantis, the eight-time pole vaulting world record holder.
The latest addition to the Seamaster Aqua Terra collection features a 41mm stainless steel case, showcasing a distinctive blue dial with a horizontally striped texture, adding a contemporary twist to the classic opaline finish. Highlighting the dial are yellow accents on the quarter-hour markers, Seamaster logo, and a central seconds hand shaped like a pole vault.
A transparent caseback offers a view of the watch’s inner workings, which include the in-house 8900 self-winding caliber with a Co-Axial escapement. This movement boasts a power reserve of 60 hours and is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, along with water resistance up to 150 meters (15 bars).
Priced at $6,300 USD, the timepiece is complemented by a textured rubber strap matching the dial’s hue, emphasizing both style and functionality for sports enthusiasts and watch aficionados alike.
This limited edition Seamaster Aqua Terra represents OMEGA’s dedication to combining precision engineering with athletic inspiration, making it a fitting companion for the upcoming global sporting event in Paris.
