Currently moored in Saint-Tropez’s azure waters, the 84.2-meter superyacht Obsidian recently concluded maintenance in La Ciotat, revealing her impressive features and capabilities. Built by Feadship in 2023, Obsidian boasts a design collaboration between RWD for her exterior and Monk Design in conjunction with RWD for her interior.
Powered by a hybrid propulsion system, Obsidian integrates a 4.5 MWh battery bank charged by custom variable speed generators utilizing Caterpillar C32 engines. This advanced setup affords her a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, ensuring a remarkable range of up to 5,500 nautical miles.
Among her luxurious amenities are an observation lounge adorned with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a beach club providing direct sea access, and an Aqua Lounge equipped with underwater views. Crafted with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, Obsidian accommodates up to 14 guests across seven staterooms, complemented by a dedicated crew of 27 members committed to delivering an exceptional onboard experience.
