Brisbane gears up to host the highly anticipated Bartenders’ Weekender this upcoming weekend, promising an immersive experience for bartenders, bar operators, and owners nationwide. With the event nearly sold out, enthusiasts are urged to secure their tickets promptly through the Bartenders’ Weekender website.
Conceived by industry mavens Penny Sippe and Sam Bygrave, the Bartenders’ Weekender is a three-day extravaganza dedicated to the art of bartending, poised to elevate Brisbane’s burgeoning bar scene to new heights.
“Our aim is to assemble bartenders from across the nation in Brisbane, offering them an enriching blend of education, knowledge-sharing, and entertainment, all while fostering inspiration for the emerging generation,” remarked Sam Bygrave to Bars and Clubs.
Scheduled from Sunday, June 16th, to Tuesday, June 18th, the Bartenders’ Weekender will feature a dynamic lineup of masterclasses and talks aimed at fostering professional growth and expertise.
“We’ve curated an impressive roster of speakers, including Jason Williams, Natalie Ng, Matt Whiley, Stefano Cantino, and Hayden Lambert, alongside several esteemed local voices,” added Sam.
Additionally, Sam and Penny will take the stage to provide invaluable insights on media collaboration, guiding bartenders and bars on effective engagement strategies and content creation.
Amidst the festivities, the Weekender will showcase bar takeovers, with a unique emphasis on fostering collaborative exchanges between participating establishments.
“We’re endeavoring to redefine the concept of bar takeovers by fostering genuine collaboration between venues, ensuring a rich exchange of ideas and showcasing the vibrancy of Brisbane’s bar scene,” shared Sam.
As anticipation mounts for the Bartenders’ Weekender, organizers are poised to deliver an event that not only celebrates the craft of bartending but also underscores Brisbane’s position as a thriving hub for cocktail culture.
