Hamburg, 29 May 2024 – Airbus’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Eltra Services Beijing, has entered into an aircraft parts build agreement with Jiatai Aircraft Equipment Co., Ltd, a Chinese cabin seat supplier and a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The agreement was formalized at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2024, aiming to deepen the collaborative efforts between the two companies.
According to the terms of the agreement, Jiatai will be responsible for parts manufacturing and assembly, ensuring timely delivery, while Eltra will provide specification and technical support to meet customer demands with superior services.
Mr. Miao Yan, General Manager of Eltra, highlighted the partnership as a strategic use of synergies to enhance their solutions portfolio for customers. He stated, “Eltra has been dedicated to offering prompt, convenient, and high-quality repair and technical support services to airlines. The cooperation with Jiatai will benefit customers by providing more localized solutions.”
Mr. He Caifu, General Manager of Jiatai, emphasized the complementary strengths of both companies in this partnership. “The cooperation leverages Jiatai’s manufacturing capability and Eltra’s expertise in repair, maintenance, and services. Joining forces will drive excellent services and products for customers in China and the Asia-Pacific region, with reduced costs and lead time,” he said.
This agreement builds on a previous collaboration established in 2022, where Eltra, along with two other Airbus subsidiaries—Satair and KID—agreed to cooperate with Jiatai in the cabin seat industry. This initial partnership expanded Eltra’s business scope and provided optimized solutions to customers.
By combining Jiatai’s manufacturing prowess with Eltra’s technical expertise, the new agreement is set to deliver enhanced services and products, thereby improving operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction in the aviation industry.
