Luxembourg – AC Schnitzer, renowned for its precision tuning of luxury vehicles, has launched a suite of enhancements tailored for the mid-lifecycle refreshed BMW X5, following the SUV’s recent update. The German tuner’s latest offerings encompass a revamped body kit, 22-inch alloy wheels, adjustable suspension, and power upgrades for both petrol and diesel variants of the G05 X5.
Innovating on the exterior front, AC Schnitzer’s aerodynamic enhancements, seamlessly compatible with the M Package, inject a heightened level of sportiness. Key features include an imposing front splitter, extended side skirts, and a prominent rear spoiler, augmenting the SUV’s dynamic presence on the road.
A highlight of the upgrade is the introduction of 22-inch AC5 alloy wheels, a signature element first introduced on AC Schnitzer’s BMW XM model. These wheels are customizable with a range of finish options, offering owners the opportunity to personalize their X5’s aesthetic.
To further accentuate the SUV’s aggressive stance, AC Schnitzer provides spacers that widen the front and rear tracks by 24 mm (0.9 inches), amplifying its road-holding capabilities. Additionally, the tuner offers lowering kits for models without factory-fitted air suspension, allowing for a reduction in ride height by 15-30 mm (0.6-1.2 inches), enhancing both aesthetics and handling performance.
Interior enhancements, albeit more subtle, include the addition of aluminum gearshift paddles and pedal covers, adding a touch of refinement to the driving experience.
AC Schnitzer’s enhancements extend beyond aesthetics, with power upgrades available for the BMW X5 xDrive40d variant. Elevating the performance of the diesel-powered SUV, the tuned version now boasts 377 hp (281 kW / 382 PS) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque, marking a significant increase of 30 hp (22 kW / 30 PS) and 60 Nm (44 lb-ft) compared to the stock configuration.
Furthermore, the tuner offers a power boost option for the pre-facelifted BMW X5 45e xDrive PHEV, hinting at potential electrified variants being included in future offerings. Notably, AC Schnitzer provides a modified engine cover for six-cylinder units, featuring distinctive branding and red accents, for those seeking a bolder aesthetic statement under the hood.
Enthusiastic BMW X5 owners keen on upgrading their vehicles can conveniently access the desired components through AC Schnitzer’s website, allowing for a tailored enhancement experience.
