In a proactive move amidst the current challenges facing the craft beer sector, the Great Australasian Beer Spectapular (GABS) has unveiled a cashback campaign aimed at incentivizing consumers to attend its upcoming festival series in June.
With a substantial $100,000 allocated for cashback rewards, the campaign aims to inject renewed value for attendees while also driving record attendance to the festival. Mike Bray, Managing Director of GABS, emphasized the initiative’s dual objective of benefitting both festival-goers and participating breweries.
“GABS has long been at the forefront of providing exceptional beer experiences for consumers and fostering connections between breweries and enthusiasts,” Bray remarked.
“In light of the escalating costs affecting breweries and the tightening of consumer discretionary spending due to multiple interest rate hikes, we saw an opportunity to offer tangible support to both parties. Through our cashback campaign, attendees will receive $20 cashback to spend on a diverse array of offerings from over 150 breweries showcasing their products at GABS.”
Bray expressed optimism regarding the potential impact of the campaign, particularly its ability to galvanize early ticket purchases among the festival’s loyal patrons, thus minimizing third-party marketing expenditures.
“The real excitement lies in the opportunity for breweries to tap into the $100,000 pool of consumer spend at GABS, attracting new customers and expanding their reach,” Bray continued.
In addition to the cashback promotion, this year’s festival introduces a novel concept – the post-GABS Beer Safari. Attendees will receive up to $250 in beer offers redeemable at partner venues post-event, further enhancing the festival experience and fostering continued engagement with the craft beer community.
Bray elaborated on the significance of this initiative, highlighting its potential to drive festival attendees to explore brewery venues and extend their craft beer journey beyond the confines of the event.
Acknowledging the crucial role of consumers in sustaining the craft beer movement, Bray extended an invitation to beer enthusiasts to partake in the upcoming GABS sessions and support the industry.
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to beer lovers for their unwavering support and enthusiasm, which has solidified craft beer as a beverage of choice,” Bray expressed.
“Join us at any of the 10 GABS sessions and immerse yourself in the incredible diversity of beers crafted by passionate brewers. GABS is more than just a festival; it’s a celebration of camaraderie and innovation within the industry. So, grab your friends and raise a glass with us!” Bray concluded.
