According to a joint statement released by both companies, the venture will be headquartered in Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai, strategically positioning itself to leverage the diverse skill sets available in these key Indian cities. While Bengaluru and Pune will serve as the primary hubs for development and operations activities, Chennai will specialize in business IT solutions.
The joint venture agreement is pending review and approval by relevant regulatory authorities, signaling the commitment of both parties to adhere to regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
With an initial team of 100 innovators, the joint venture aims to rapidly expand its workforce to meet the growing demands of the automotive software market. It will focus on delivering cutting-edge solutions such as Software-defined Vehicle (SDV) technology for BMW Group’s premium vehicles, as well as digital transformation solutions for business IT.
