Flecha Azul, a distinguished tequila brand crafted from 100 per cent Blue Weber Agave using traditional methods at Orendain Distillery in Jalisco, is expanding its global footprint with a strategic move into the Australian market. Following successful launches in Mexico and Canada last year, Flecha Azul’s portfolio of five distinctive tequilas is set to captivate the on-premise scene worldwide.
The brainchild of Mexican-American professional golfer Abraham Ancer and Mexican entrepreneur Aron Marquez, Flecha Azul has garnered additional attention with the support of renowned American actor Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg, who shares the brand’s vision for introducing authentic Mexican tequila to the world, will lend his star power to the Australian rollout through immersive experiences such as bar takeovers and bottle signings across Sydney.

Flecha Azul’s core tequila range boasts a Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, Añejo Cristalino, and Extra Añejo, each meticulously crafted without additives to showcase the essence of true tequila.
The Blanco tequila, housed in stainless steel tanks, offers a medley of spices, ripe fruit, and honeyed floral undertones. Meanwhile, the Reposado, aged for six months in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, presents a symphony of citrus, subtle grassiness, praline, vanilla, and sandalwood.
Elevating the experience is the Añejo, matured for 18 months in ex-Bourbon barrels, delivering a rich tapestry of maple, caramel, dried herbs, pineapple, and black pepper notes. The triple-filtered Añejo Cristalino builds upon the Añejo’s warmth, maintaining palate softness while unveiling hints of vanilla and dark chocolate, culminating in a lingering finish. Lastly, the Extra Añejo enchants with layers of praline, roasted pineapple, and vanilla, culminating in a harmoniously balanced and complex finale.
