In a recent transaction facilitated by industry experts, the 38.7-metre motor yacht Gladius has been successfully sold. The seller was represented by John Jacobi of Fraser, while Stamatis Konstantos of Yacht Broker House acted on behalf of the buyer.
Constructed in GRP to ABS classification by the renowned Italian shipyard Cantieri di Pisa, Gladius is an Akhir 125 model that graced the seas in 2007. Undergoing a comprehensive refit in 2023, the yacht saw significant technical and interior upgrades. The sleek design, characterized by low-profile aesthetics enhanced by dark-tinted windows and a black-painted stripe on the superstructure, adds to its allure.
Designed by Carlo Paladini, the interior accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins, with quarters for a crew of eight. Featuring a raised pilothouse, Gladius boasts two saloons, including a media lounge on the main deck, along with the added convenience of Starlink satellite communications.
The flybridge hosts a Jacuzzi, two dining tables, and a bar, creating a luxurious outdoor space. Additional amenities include a beach club and a tender garage situated aft. With a top speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots, powered by twin 2,774hp MTU engines, the 261GT yacht is well-equipped for both performance and comfort.
Having proven its success in the charter market, Gladius, with its shallow 1.85-metre draught, is perfectly suited for cruising in the Bahamas and seamlessly navigating the Mediterranean islands. The yacht’s range varies between 600 and 1,250 nautical miles based on speed, and it features at-anchor and underway stabilizers, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable voyage.
