This year, Porsche proudly commemorates the 15th anniversary of the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, a monumental milestone in showcasing the brand’s rich history and evolution to a distinguished audience of nearly six million visitors.
Established on January 31, 2009, the Porsche Museum has hosted a remarkable 5,824,325 individuals, including notable personalities such as Paris Hilton and the Backstreet Boys. Central to its allure is an extensive display of extraordinary vehicles spanning 75 years of Porsche’s legacy, notably featuring the iconic Le Mans-winning Porsche 917K.
Bettina Haussmann, Head of the Mercedes-Benz Museum, conveyed her congratulations, emphasizing the irresistible appeal of having both the Porsche Museum and the Mercedes-Benz Museum in the same city. She highlighted the successful collaboration between the two institutions, which includes the exchange of car exhibits.
Beyond catering to adult automobile enthusiasts, Porsche ensures inclusivity with programs like Porsche 4Kids and Porsche 4School, providing engaging experiences for children. The museum also embraces the digital age with its “Social Media Ready” initiative, targeting visitors aged 15 to 19 and encouraging the capture of smartphone-shot photos and videos.
Since its inauguration, the museum has processed over 90,000 inquiries, conducted 28,301 guided tours, preserved a collection of more than 3,000 vehicles, and actively participated in over 3,300 events worldwide. Collaborating with museums globally, including the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, the Porsche Museum has solidified its presence on the international stage.
