Renowned design firm Nuvolari Lenard has shared further insights into the NL 50 Plus, an exclusive series of custom yachts created in partnership with Mengi Yay and Camper & Nicholsons.
The initial vessel, measuring an impressive 52.4 meters, is currently in the construction phase, boasting a cutting-edge, “highly efficient” hull crafted by Van Oossanen. The project is on track for completion within a strategically advantageous timeframe.
Among its exceptional features, the NL 50 Plus stands out for possessing one of the most expansive sundecks within its category, enhanced by a personalized heated spa pool and a captivating fire pit. The yacht‘s stern is ingeniously designed as an expansive beach club area, featuring a retractable platform that extends the sea terrace over the water, complemented by an integrated custom pool.
Accommodations on board include a lavish 50-square-meter owner’s cabin, complete with a drawer-style, slide-out terrace. The lower deck houses four VIP cabins for guests.
Naval architect and co-founder Carlo Nuvolari elaborated on the innovative design, stating, “The sliding balcony has a couple of modes – when closed, it leaves a little space outside where you can hang out by opening the window door. It’s perfect to take in the air or enjoy the view of the sea and surroundings day or night. When you slide the balcony out, the rail moves into place automatically, allowing you to operate and savor it in total privacy.”
The yacht’s interiors are fully customizable, offering prospective owners a range of décor options, while Nuvolari Lenard has prepared multiple design proposals. Additional recreational highlights include a foredeck lounge, serving dual purposes as an open-air cinema and storage space for a seven-meter tender and various water toys.
Expressing confidence in the collaboration, Carlo Nuvolari noted, “Our experience and the partnership with Mengi Yay and Camper & Nicholsons will be hugely beneficial. We have all the Nuvolari Lenard Plus Capsule engineered, and there is an NL 50 Plus in the shipyard, so the building process is underway and it is not just a drawing. Working with Camper & Nicholson’s means we can also draw on their experience to make the communication, coordination, and control of the projects much easier.”
