The Damen Yachting shipyard in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, has successfully delivered the fourth unit of the popular Amels 60 series, named “Satemi.” The superyacht is set to remain at the quayside for a few weeks before embarking on its maiden voyage to the Caribbean, where it will navigate a busy season combining charter and private use. Notable sister ships in the series include “Come Together” and “Entourage.”
Introduced in 2019 through a collaboration with designer Espen Øino, the Amels 60 series has witnessed the sale of six hulls to date. Satemi shares a similar exterior design with hull number two, Entourage, featuring long lines of glazing in contrast to the trapezium-shaped windows on hull number one, Come Together.
The interiors of Satemi, crafted by Studio Indigo and Pure Living, boast six cabins accommodating a total of 12 guests. The main deck hosts a full-beam owner’s suite positioned forward, equipped with an adjoining cabin that serves versatile purposes such as VIP accommodation, a children’s suite, an office, or a gym. The remaining four guest suites are situated on the lower deck.
Satemi offers luxurious amenities, including a beach club sauna, a Jacuzzi on the sundeck, and a touch-and-go helipad. A distinctive feature of the Amels 60 is its IMO Tier III-compliant hybrid engine, providing a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles. Additionally, the foredeck accommodates a nine-meter tender for convenient guest transport.
Jan van Hogerwou, Damen Yachting’s US commercial executive, notes the strong reception to the Amels 60 design, emphasizing its appeal to owners seeking a new build with customization options and a two-year delivery timeframe.
According to BOATPro, Damen Yachting currently has 12 other projects in various stages of construction, including the flagship Amels 120—recently revealed for the first time—and Project Zurich, the third Amels 80.
