The White House has decided not to lift the ban on sales and imports of Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the US. The ban was imposed by the US International Trade Commission (USITC) to protect medical device maker Masimo, which accused Apple of infringing on its patents and poaching its staff.
Apple had sought to overturn the ban, but the White House declined to intervene. Apple expressed strong disagreement with the ruling and plans to appeal. The ban is in response to allegations that Apple stole technology related to measuring oxygen levels in the blood.
