The Ritz-Carlton sets sail with its historic luxury travel brand. The company debuted the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection with Evrima last October and announced that Ilma will set sail in September 2024. Now, the company has added a third yacht to its fleet.
The high-end hotel-turned-cruise experience has exclusively announced to Travel + Leisure that its third superyacht, Luminara, will set out on her maiden voyage from Barcelona on July 1, 2025, with bookings now open.
In a statement shared with T+L, the company said: “With all three superyachts open for booking, the brand extension will continue to build on its success, offering luxury travelers even more opportunities to enjoy unforgettable sea vacation.”
The 794-foot-long Luminara, whose Latin name means “light,” can accommodate 452 guests in its 226 suites, each with an ocean-view terrace and upgraded amenities. The ship will feature a wine cellar, a Ritz-Carlton-branded spa and a marina with direct access to the ocean. It will also have more upper-level room types, including residential suites, a more “spacious” offering “to suit a variety of preferences.”
All the details of the superyacht came from first-class collaborations, including with London design firm AD Associates, Toronto firm Chapi Chapo Design, global lighting consultancy DPA and Helsinki-based Aivan.
