L’Oreal, the French beauty giant, is contributing AU$600,000 to support a reforestation initiative in Kardutjaanup, Western Australia. The project aims to plant approximately 65,000 trees across 4,000 hectares of degraded croplands, with the goal of restoring biodiversity in the region.
The reforestation effort is led by the Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (ETNTAC), focusing on enhancing the connection to the land, strengthening cultural heritage, and promoting economic self-determination among the local community.
Marnie Carroll, Chief Corporate Affairs and Engagement Officer at L’Oréal Australia & New Zealand, expressed the company’s pride in collaborating with an organization centered around strong cultural identity, well-being for First Nations People, and the restoration and protection of biodiversity.
This initiative reflects L’Oreal’s commitment to environmental sustainability and biodiversity conservation, aligning with global efforts to address climate change and promote responsible corporate practices.
