In a momentous ceremony attended by maritime authorities and representatives of the shipbuilding industry, Ferretti Group marked another milestone in its strategic expansion with the official inauguration of the new Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by local authorities and Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi, signaled the opening of a key operational hub within the Superyacht Yard. Located in Via Enrico Mattei, the renovated building is a testament to modernity and functionality, ready to house the management team, design and planning offices, and the dedicated aluminum and steel boat department.
Alberto Galassi, CEO of the Ferretti Group, said, “2023 is a momentous year for us, full of new developments and unprecedented growth: the dual listing in Milan and Hong Kong, the acquisition of the Ravenna shipyard, and today, here in Ancona, a new space that speaks of the future and Italian luxury.”
Spread over 4,200 square meters, including 3,000 square meters of office space, the facility will house key departments such as the technical office, project management, purchasing, planning and control, logistics, production management and boat foremen. In addition, a chic reception area for customers sets a welcoming tone.
The interiors are inspired by the luxury yachts built by the Ferretti Group, emphasizing the customization of the yachts. Fine materials such as leather, wood and marble contribute to a personalized and meticulously detailed environment that reflects the renowned craftsmanship of Ferretti vessels.
This strategic expansion solidifies the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard’s status as a central hub for multi-brand yacht construction. From CRN superyachts and megayachts to the entire Custom Line range, Riva yachts over 50 meters and Pershing 140 units, the shipyard will host the construction of an impressive range of vessels.
The 80,000-square-meter Ancona shipyard is specifically designed to build pleasure craft up to 90 meters in length. The facility has a 670-ton travel lift for launching steel and aluminum yachts up to 50 meters.
With nine high-tech sheds, the shipyard aims to build up to 24 superyachts in parallel.
The Ferretti Group, led by Chief Executive Officer Alberto Galassi, is today one of the world’s leaders in the construction and sale of luxury yachts and pleasure craft, with a unique portfolio of brands: Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, Custom Line and Wally.
