Arcadia police were searching for four men accused of smashing display cases with hammers and stealing purses and watches from a store in The Shops at Santa Anita on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 3, authorities said.
Police were called to Rebag, which specializes in handbags, fine jewelry and watches, shortly before 1 p.m. and learned of the smash-and-grab theft, Lt. Tony Juarez said.
The men rushed into the mall, in the 400 block of South Baldwin Avenue, ran into Rebag, smashed cases with hammers and stole an unknown number of items before running to a white Infiniti sedan and driving off, Juarez said.
No estimated value was available and no injuries were reported.
The men were described as wearing blue hooded sweatshirts, masks and sweatpants, Juarez said.
