Patrón Tequila has expanded its prestige portfolio with the launch of Patrón El Cielo, a silver tequila distilled four times, which Patrón says is the perfect drink for summer.
Patrón El Cielo’s four-distillation process helps to bring out the natural sweetness of the agave and delivers a smooth finish, making it perfect for sipping over ice with a slice of orange.
Kathy Parker, Global Chief Marketing Officer for Patrón, said: “Patrón El Cielo’s radiant smoothness offers a unique experience for tequila drinkers, delivering an impressively rare, naturally sweet flavor.
“By taking our iconic Silver Tequila and expertly using a fourth distillation, we have created a new prestige tequila that is a first in the category. Master Distiller David Rodriguez has really pushed the boundaries with a distinctive process – the complexity of distilling tequila without sacrificing flavor requires remarkable talent, and we’re immensely proud of this bold innovation his team has created.”
Patrón El Cielo, like all Patrón tequilas, is made with 100 percent natural ingredients, high-quality Weber blue agave, water and yeast. It is then produced in small batches in the smallest copper pot stills at Hacienda Patrón to ensure consistency and quality, as Master Distiller David Rodriguez explains.
“For the first time ever, we developed a Prestige Tequila with a fourth distillation – a process extremely rare in the industry – using the smallest copper pot still at Hacienda Patrón,” he said. “While adding another stage of distillation is commonly misunderstood as a culprit for diluting flavor, this was not the case for Patrón El Cielo.
“At Patrón, our goal is to achieve perfection in every drop – by using this unique four-times distillation process, we have unlocked and opened up the natural sweetness and smoothness of the agave to deliver an incredibly sweet, light-tasting, smooth tequila.”
This premium tequila, which is available at select venues across Australia, comes in a sleek glass bottle with gold designs inspired by the volcanic tahona stone used to make Patrón Tequila, with other elements inspired by the agave fields and light of Patrón’s homeland – the Jalisco Highlands of Mexico.
