Huda Kattan believes the beauty industry has a long way to go before it can consider itself inclusive. The owner of Huda Beauty said that representation is moving “at a snail’s pace” and that the beauty industry is sexist.
In an interview with the BBC, Kattan also threw shade at social media, claiming it has become “a dopamine hacking algorithm to keep people’s eyes glued to a screen.
Kattan was interviewed ahead of the publication of the news channel’s BBC 100 Women list, which names 100 inspiring and influential women from around the world.
