The U.S. Food & Drugs Administration (FDA) has issued guidance on its intent to delay for six months enforcement of the cosmetic product facility registration and cosmetic product listing requirements contained in the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act, 2022 (MoCRA).
MoCRA provided FDA with new authorities, including facility registration for cosmetic product manufacturers and processors and product listing, although certain small businesses are exempt.
The grace period will ensure that industry has sufficient time to submit its facility registration and product listing information.
