Victorian company Aerodynamic has been awarded a five-year support contract to meet the ADF’s extensive and complex flight data monitoring requirements.
The proactive use of digital flight data supports improvements in aviation safety across operations and helps to reduce risk.
The contract will support the ADF’s Flight Recorder and Locator Equipment (FRLE) across a range of aircraft fleets, providing logistics, flight data analysis and maintenance readouts, as well as repair of specialized equipment.
Aerodynamic is an Australian owned and operated small to medium sized company specializing in providing advanced flight data solutions to a wide range of customers.
Director General Naval Aviation, Aircrew Training and Commons Commodore Darren Rae said the ADF will have a fully sovereign flight data monitoring support solution delivered by a long-standing and trusted partner.
“This support contract will help us meet the dynamic and challenging requirements of military aviation across the ADF, and all staff and services for this contract will be based in Australia, further supporting local industry and the community,” Commodore Rae said.
Aerodynamic’s Directors, Darren and Keelan Privitera, said it was an honor to build on their long-standing 22-year relationship with the ADF and provide services to support the availability and longevity of the ADF’s FRLE capability.
“This contract builds on our decades of experience providing specialized FRLE-specific products and services to our global customer base in both the civil and defense sectors,” Keelan Privitera said.
The initial FRLE contract is for five years and includes extension options for future support.
